The best times we’ve had as a family on vacation are when we go off the beaten path. Where we don’t feel like tourists but really get a flavor for the location. That’s exactly the kind of experience we got with Joe. St Kitts has so much more to offer than the standard tourist views of Basseterre. We drove the circumference of the island as Joe pointed out highlights and explained the different blocks (or villages). From visiting a secret beach to petting a local pig (!) and learning the back story of several rum plantations, Joe was a wealth of knowledge. Our kids sampled local sodas and unique flavored beers (chocolate and coffee?) as we learned more about local delicacies. We even learned the meaning of the distinct license plates. Highly recommend partnering up with Marle and team. They will take good care of you.
My friend and I booked the Welcome to St Kitts Behind the Scenes tour as a shore excursion. The tour was great fun, with ongoing narratives by Marley, sharing the sights and history of the island. The guys provided beer, cold drinks and chips and prizes were won for answering fun questions about the island as we traveled. Towards the end of the tour, we had the opportunity to lunch on our own or spend time at the beach. The boys recommended the Monkey Bar , right on the beach, and lunch was enjoyed seaside. A fun day with some great people left us with lasting memories of our day in St Kitts.
Marley, Danny and Raj were great hosts, meet and greet was easy and prompt, the transport was comfortable, cool and clean, drinks including local beers were free and plentiful throughout. We took in all the sights of interest at a decent pace and had enough time to get photos or toilet breaks. The commentary was informative and interactive, I highly recommend this tour but bring your A game and pay attention there is a quiz with decent prizes!
We had just the best Island tour with Marley,Daddy,Lee and Daddy. This tour was not jumping at very informative but it was fun, fun, fun. We cruised around the island seeing everything there was to see making various stops with great photo opportunities eventually stopping at a beautiful beach for about 90 minutes to grab some lunch, have a dip and soak up some rays. Marley and his crew were brilliant. These boys know how to have a laugh. During the tour Marley would ask questions relating to the information he had already given to us. If you got the question correct you got a little prize. A fridge magnet, a pen or a key ring. Whoever got the most answers correct during the tour won the "GOLDEN SPOON" which I might add was won by my goodself and my partner giving the Americans on our bus one hell of a beating. England 1 USA 0. Happy days. Do this tour. It was perfect. Thanks boys for a great day.
